Giver, Receiver, Both: how lanes work on yoBlow

September 15, 2026 · 3 min read

Lanes are the one-word answer to the question every oral hookup starts with. Here is what each lane means, how the grid uses it, and how to change yours.

Every yoBlow profile has a lane. It is chosen at signup, shown as a colored badge on every card, and it drives how the grid sorts. Here is the whole system.

Giver

You love to suck. Orange badge, letter G. Receivers see you first when they sort by match. Your tags tell them how you like it, so the details are on the card before anyone says a word.

Receiver

You love getting sucked. Pink badge, letter R. Givers see you first. Your card also shows whether you can host, can travel, or both, so the logistics are settled before the first message.

Both

You want it both ways. Lime badge, letter B. Both fits with everyone, so a Both profile sits high in every lane's match sort and has the biggest grid.

How the grid uses lanes

Changing your lane

Open Me, tap a different lane, save. It updates everywhere immediately. Nobody is locked in; plenty of people move between lanes depending on the season.

Why one word

Because the first message on every other app is some version of "so what are you into?" and the honest answer takes three more messages to arrive. On yoBlow the answer is already on the card. That is the entire point of the app.
